The image shows a quiet indoor meditation space. In the foreground, a dark floor mat stretches toward a low wooden bench positioned in the center of the frame. On the left side of the mat sits a brass-colored singing bowl with a wooden striker resting inside it. On the right side lies an open book with slightly curved pages. The visible cover reads “Dag Hammarskjöld – Vägmärken.” Behind the bench, large windows allow soft natural light to fill the room. Outside the windows, an out-of-focus landscape of trees in yellow, green, and brown tones suggests an autumn setting. The shallow depth of field draws attention to the singing bowl and the book while keeping the background softly blurred. The overall atmosphere is calm, simple, and reflective, evoking meditation, contemplation, and quiet focus.

This is a moment of stillness shared together.

William Appelquist leads a 40-minute meditation, beginning with guidance on posture, breathing, and other fundamentals. William's meditation practice is rooted in a decade of Zen meditation as well as the Western Christian mystical tradition. His meditations are often inspired by Markings by Dag Hammarskjöld, a collection of short texts that can be used as reflections during meditation.

Afterwards, tea will be served for those who would like to stay and talk.
