Entrance

At the Museum of World Culture, you’ll encounter objects and stories from all corners of the globe in an award-winning building full of surprises. Here, you can simply hang out or explore the wide world. Welcome. The world is waiting.

Located at Korsvägen, between Liseberg and Universeum, the museum—with its restaurant and café—is a vibrant meeting place for conversation, debate, and culture about the world yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Welcome as you are. Come for a lecture, explore an exhibition, or join a workshop. We aim to build bridges between history and the present, offering experiences that inspire and move.

The museum building is inspired by a geode—a type of stone that’s grey on the outside but becomes more colorful the deeper you go. The grand staircase, inspired by the Spanish Steps in Rome, is designed to evoke a sense of gathering and connection.

The building houses over 11,000 m² of floor space and 6,000 m² of glass.
Did you know? The museum can be rented for weddings and conferences!
